Global Talent Stream Canada

Global Talent Stream Canada has gained worldwide acceptance and popularity. Global Talent Stream is a pilot program that started in 2017 under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program or TFWP. It marks a joint partnership between the ESDC (Employment and Social Development Canada) and IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada). With the Global Talent Stream, registered employers can hire highly skilled people across the globe to benefit the economy of Canada substantially.

Eligibility for the Global Talent Stream

Applicants who get referral invites from a designated partner of the Global Talent Stream Canada are certainly eligible for Category A. Also, you will qualify for Category A if you are hiring individuals with a specialized or unique talent.
Moreover, employers looking to hire temporary foreign workers in highly-skilled occupations listed on the GTS Occupation List are eligible for Category B. You do not require any referral or invite for this category.
You must also qualify all requirements and rules of the program outlined by the IRCC. Foreign workers must qualify for the Canada work permit requirements.
The Program will indeed check the profile to verify the Employer’s compliance.

Processing Fee of the Global Talent Stream

The processing fee of each application under the Global Talent Stream is $1000. One can choose all the major payment gateways, certified cheques, money orders, and even bank drafts for making payments.
However, there is no refund policy in the act for the processing fee. Thus, the employer or applicant will pay the processing fee for the program and cannot claim a refund.

Business Legitimacy and Labour Market Benefits Plan

Employers must prove their business and job offer legitimacy in order to qualify for the Global Talent Stream. Employers must submit Documents along with LMIA and GTS applications to demonstrate legitimacy.
The candidate should work with ESDC and develop a Labour Market Benefits Plan. As a result, it helps the government of Canada to identify benefits on the Canada work and labour market.
English or French are the languages that the employer can use for the job requirement and job advertisement.
Through the Global Talent Stream, the Canadian Government looks to strengthen the Canadian economy and Labour Market conditions.
